The department of foreign languages was founded in 1934.

�The scientific research of the department is focused at: �

• the study of methodological problems of teaching foreign languages for specific purposes;

• developing and introducing ICT into the teaching process

• The British Council in Ukraine;

• The US Embassy in Ukraine;

• Goethe Institute;

• French Ukrainian cultural centre "AllianceFrançaise�;

• The German Academic Exchange Service DAAD;

• the Ukrainian branch of the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language IATEFL;

• the Ukrainian branch of the Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages TESOL;

• such leading publishers as Pearson Longman, Macmillan, Oxford, Cambridge.
