Academic visit to Estonia

11-18 March 2023 Nataliia Nechai, senior teacher of the Department of Foreign Languages, together with colleagues from other university departments, visited Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies of the Tartu University (Estonia)
 

This visit was organized in the framework of the project "Embracing Digitalization in the Academia: International Collaboration for Capacity Building and Innovation" (EMDIAC) which unites DniproTech with Estonian and Swedish universities



The delegation took part in various seminars held at the Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies. One of them was the discussion of the report by Swedish colleague Charlotte Fridolfsson on gender equality and gender studies. Another talk, given by the chief editor of Russian publications of the Estonian daily newspaper Postimees, Sergei Metlyev, was devoted to the problem of russian-language propaganda in the Baltic countries, the war in Ukraine, and questions of responsibility.
 

One more destination was «STARTUP Day 2023», held in Tartu during the period. An invaluable experience of taking part in such event was accompanied by a wealth of contacts and aquaintances and gave an incentive to organisation of a siimilar event in our university

 

The whole visit was full of amazing kindness and support from our hosts, led by Dr. Piret Ehin of the Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies at Tartu University. We hope to continue and strengthen the cooperation with our Estonian and Swedish colleagues.
