English for Universities Project in Action: ESP Syllabus Module Design

ESP Syllabus Module Design was in the focus of the Round 4 of British Council Ukraine training within the project “English for Universities”. 

Associate Professors of our Department Olena Shvets and Iryna Zuyenok took part in the discussion of challenges on the way to quality assurance of teaching/learning ESP at the university level with the Chairs of FLDs and representatives of the participants of the project - nine Non-linguistic Universities of Ukraine, and shared the University experience of ESP/EAP course design.

The outcome of the hot discussions and fruitful work of the project team during 5 days (1/02/16 – 5/02/16) are Recommendations for ESP Syllabus Module Design for the target group of learners – University students Year 1 and ESP Syllabus Draft, a common product of 18 participants of the training, to be evaluated and redrafted at the University by the focus group of ESP teachers.

We invite EFL teachers of the National Mining University to join the ESP teacher focus group which is open to your valuable contributions and feedback. 

Next week the participants of the training will share their findings, innovative approaches to Syllabus Module design at the workshop.
